Impact

Evaluating and communicating the impact of ESG initiatives

We work with our clients to help them better understand their impact so that they can address the negative effects and maximise their positive contribution to our society and the planet. To do so, we offer a wide range of support from designing tailored performance and impact assessments tools, performing programme evaluations to helping clients publish an impact or sustainability report.

Our team brings extensive experience in social impact and sustainability reporting including social return of investment (SROI), health economics (including QALY), impact evaluations and sustainability reporting standards (SECR, ESOS, SASB, SFDR, etc.) We also support our clients in ensuring that they have the insight they need to make ongoing informed decisions about their operations. This includes designing and implementing reporting tools such as balanced scorecards and OKRs.

Examples

  • Evaluating the impact delivered by a mentoring programme set up by a scientific academy

  • Producing an impact report for an international information technology consulting firm that exclusively employs adults on the autism spectrum as information technology consultants

  • Reporting carbon emissions against SECR and ESOS, after introducing methodologies and tools to collect and analyse scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions

We help you gain the insight to make ongoing informed decisions about your purpose, strategy and operations

Value of impact reporting

An impact report is a powerful tool to build confidence, trust and inclusion and to reinforce accountability and transparency with the audiences that matter to the organisation — these could include employees, clients, customers, beneficiaries, investors, supporters, policymakers, and other organisations.

Impact reporting helps your organisation to:

  • Be transparent with yourr stakeholders and meet requirements in terms of compliance, disclosure (e.g. regulatory, procurement or investment processes) and expectations

  • Secure funding at attractive rates and win contracts with organisations that value social impact credentials

  • Attract and retain employees who care about what your company does and how it does it

  • Demonstrate the value of your activities for our society and planet

  • Identify and manage social and environmental impact risks and opportunities in their value chain

  • Inform internal decision-making and ESG strategy
