NMCG Avocats CSR report

We helped a fast-growing law firm start a dialogue on ESG with their team and clients

NMCG Avocats recently voted internally to focus on ensuring that they are a responsible company. They asked Aleron to help them develop a materiality assessment to start a dialogue on responsibility internally and externally, and inform their CSR/ESG strategy.

Leveraging our research in CSR/ESG materiality, we selected 125 potential topics for consideration which were reduced to 31 topics following an initial review and prioritisation. We then identified and engaged with over 1,500 stakeholders through interviews, meetings and surveys. As a result of this process, the following materiality assessment was produced.

The leadership team was pleased to see that there was a lot of consistency between the opinions of internal and external stakeholders. Quality of services and advice was the number one priority followed by social and governance topics whereas most environmental topics were deemed less important given the limited environmental impact of the organisation.

The materiality assessment also enabled them to reflect on what they already achieved and develop clear CSR/ESG priorities and goals for the years to come. The whole organisation has been very engaged throughout the process across offices and is mobilised to deliver their CSR/ESG agenda. As they bid for work with corporate clients, the management team feel that they are now well equipped to answer the CSR/ESG related questions in the tender process
