Kristofer is passionate about supporting the private sector, charities, social enterprises and the public sector to improve their social and environmental impact. At Aleron, he leads on strategy development, organisational and operating model design and heads the Sustainability services of the organisation. Kristofer brings more than six years of experience in implementing and managing complex funds, programmes and initiatives. He has experience working across a range of expertise areas, including: climate change, strategy, impact measurement, private sector development, and public sector governance. His experience in stakeholder and client engagement spans all levels of seniority up to CEOs, Ministers, and senior civil servants.
Prior to Aleron, Kristofer worked in international development with a focus on Climate Change and Infrastructure where he secured and implemented public sector contracts for the UK’s Department for International Development and Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He has managed multi-million pound donor-funded programmes and initiatives in developing countries to improve public sector governance, strategy and decision-making, support climate change mitigation and adaptation, and catalyse private sector investments into renewable energy. He has hands-on experience in managing programmes and delivering social impact in challenging environments including in the UK, Australia, Laos, Samoa, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and South Africa.
Kristofer holds a First-class Master of Arts in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St Andrews. He is also a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
- Managed a $10m Australian Aid-funded programme to support the strategic direction of Australia Aid’s investment portfolio in Laos.
- Developed a new operating model for one of UK’s largest children’s charities, to improve profitability and engagement with their supporters.
- Supported the organisational design for a UK animal welfare charity, to enable successful delivery of their new organisational strategy.
